Competition Law Update – November 2024
This update covers key developments in the application of competition law to the financial sector in the UK in recent months. In this issue, we turn first to recent regulatory developments with an impact on merger control regimes, including the publication of the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (DMCC Act), and the publication of proposed revisions to merger control regimes in the UK and the US. We also consider a range of developments across regulatory regimes that touch on the financial sector in both the UK and the EU.
